Percolator Coffee Pot

The coffee maker is a long descent from the days of cowboy fire e. In 1886, non-electric coffee maker came to America and changed the way the drink is produced. The vessels were more in advance that a vase, poured the water for coffee, followed by a huge amount. The water was boiled and the concoction prepared with him to a rough estimate, if he was ready or not done.

Coffee>coffee pots of 1886 were organized to brew a drink that would be served without the heavy oils that lingered around inside the old ones.

This new gadget had components that were aids in preparing a good tasty drink. Those components were: a basket into which the grounds were measured; a stem on which the basket sat; this stem operated gravitationally to bring water to the grounds; and a clear glass bulb like device through which you could see the color of the liquid as it brewed. The liquid was filtered as the water flowed through it and after a short time it was ready to be served.

In spite of the host of new appliances on offer today, the more traditional items are still in demand with many housewives and campers. Modernization of the kitchen has given us color to our kitchenware. No longer are they just the old boring colors they once were.

Although the design of the percolator coffee pot has not changed much over the years, other innovations have entered the picture to give us alternative choices. We now have; French Press, vacuum, drip, and electric percolators and many others besides.
